As of late, I’ve had a number of people tell me about Burts Bees. This started occurring well over a year ago. Everyone wanted Burts Bees for Christmas. I did not know what the big deal was, so I bought everyone other types of natural cosmetics that I was more familiar with. After that I totally forgot about it.

However, I am now seeing Burts Bees in the news again. The product is being used to promote charitable work. Spas are having drawings where you could win services using this brand. Apparently, I have completely missed something. I decided it was time to catch up. I set out to learn all the “buzz” I could about Burts Bees products.

So I was really missing a lot of information. The manufacturers of Burts Bees products believe that your personal well being is directly affected by the products that you use each day. They design all of their products with this in mind.

This means that using your Burts Bees makeup can make you feel wonderful about:

• Natural products are good for your skin.
• Purchasing products that are safe for the environment
• Purchasing products from a company that works for “the Greater Good”

I have two more questions since I am still missing something:

1. How well does this product actually work?
2. What does “the Greater Good” mean?

The answer to question one:

This product works wonderfully. Any product made by Burts Bees will have positive results on your skin. Their anti-aging line is totally phenomenal. But to me it seems like they have their focus more on prevention than on the actual repairs. Burts Bees moisturizers work great, but if you have serious weathering you may want to shop elsewhere.

Answer to number 2:

In a nutshell, Burts Bees’ “Greater Good” the combination of practices that will help consumers, employees & the environment. The company focuses on environmental awareness and aid programs. It works to keep employees happy. Their main focus is keeping the consumer happy.

Now you can see why I’ve changed my mind about this product. Their anti-aging products are some of the best around and the lip balm makes my lips so soft. The “kits” are so much fun and can make very nice economical gifts that you know will be used. I have to say it: Burts Bees Greater Good is definitely good for me.

Being on an acne diet is a very fascinating idea. Who hasn’t heard that eating chocolate may make you break out. We almost all have. As a result, it doesn’t really sound that strange that you are what you eat.

Although creating a good Acne diet can be very hard. It is highly personal and based on your body’s unique responses to food. Progress, for the most part, will be trial and error. Monitor your skin closely. Make note of any changes. Taking pictures with your digital camera is a good way to keep a journal. So if and when your skin clears up, stay on the diet you were on at the time.

The following are some easy guidelines to help get you started on an Acne diet:

1. Take in a lot more protein. Some dermatologists believe that protein is associated with clearer skin. The reason for this belief is because protein has an enzyme that will limit the production of oils. Oily skin is very vulnerable to breakouts.

2. Avoid carbohydrates. Don’t cut yourself off completely. But you should keep them limited to about 40 percent of your diet. This is because carbohydrates can stimulate oil production. For this reason common knowledge indicates that junk food causes Acne. Actually it is just that junk food is high in carbs.

3. Try to drink green tea. Real green tea is the best, try to drink it Brewing the green tea is the best way to drink it. However, if you really don’t like it, then try the natural green tea drinks. Green tea will restrain the production of androgen. Androgen is a hormone that can cause breakouts.

4. Limit your salt intake. Salt usually contains iodine. Which is why table salt is sometimes called “iodized salt.” Iodine can be one of the biggest inflammatory agents in people with Acne.

In addition to watching your diet, you should carefully watch what you put on your face. You already know what is in your beauty products if you have Acne. You should only use moisturizers without oil and natural and organic skin care products. These products will least likely cause you to breakout. You might want to start buying mineral makeup, that is if you wear makeup. Many dermatologists today believe that mineral makeup can really reduce breakouts and increase the results of your Acne diet.

How to Pick the Best Skin Repair Cream

There are a lot of options out there when it comes to skin repair creams. There are many different ways that people think of skin repair. Some think of it the same way that they think of wrinkle repair. Others find it to be more about lightening or erasing scars. Others yet want to retain the tight, full skin of their youth.

As you can see skin repair cream manufacturers have a lot to deal with. After all, that is a lot of different demands for a single product to meet. Unfortunately some companies will take advantage of this confusion. They try to use people’s lack of knowledge about the specifics of skin repair creams against them. In short, they use the confusion about skin repair creams to sell cheap products that actually accomplish little or nothing.

Be sure that you know what you are getting when you buy a skin repair cream. After all, skin repair creams can be much more expensive than lotions. Be sure that you are getting your money’s worth. You should be getting literal mending in your results!

Here are a few ways to help you spot the real skin repair creams:

• A good skin repair cream is a super moisturizer. Water, aloe and glycerin are not sufficient. You need some mega moisturizers in the mix. Glycolic acids and herbal components are good indications. Plant and fruit extracts are also beneficial.

skin repair creams should do more than mask the problem. Often skin repair creams will contain reflective elements. They give an illusion of instantaneous improvement by reflecting light away from irregularities. You need real mending agents though, not just temporary fixes. These might include vitamin A, vitamin C or vitamin E.

• Any old collagen is not sufficient. Lots of skin repair creams tout their collagen loudly and aggressively. However, most forms of collagen cannot be absorbed into the skin. You end up just rubbing fatty oils onto your face. Effective skin repair creams will contain peptides to help with collagen and elastin absorption.

There are definitely lots of good skin repair creams out there. They can be located successfully at most price points. The key to success with a skin repair cream is understanding the ingredients and how they will work for you.

How to Buy Facial Hair Removal Products

facial hair is, on some level, a problem for everyone. It certainly is a bigger deal for some people than others though. No matter who you are though, you tweeze at least one hair regularly. It is just a fact of life.

If you are anything like me, plucking makes you crazy. I cannot even see the mirror through the tears in my eyes! But I’m intimidated by facial hair creams. All I got in high school from using them was a red blister on my upper lip. Even a girlstache would have been better than that…

Luckily hair removal treatments have progressed since high school. They used to smell awful and be full of harsh chemicals. Now it’s practically aromatherapy to use one. Of course, you still need to be careful.

Make sure that you get good facial hair removal results by using these tips:

1. Make sure that you do a test first. Before you put any cream on your face, try a little on your wrist. If you feel a burning feeling on your skin or you get a rash then you will know that you should not use it on your face. A small dab of the cream should be enough to test with.

2. Look for herbal ingredients. You just plain need chemicals to melt hair away. Herbal extracts can help your skin recover when it has been treated with these chemicals. Heavy moisturizers and natural ingredients tend to make the facial hair removal process go more smoothly.

3. Go for the fragrance. You likely remember that stinky cream that was used to remove leg hair. That smell was definitely chemically based. Now you have the option of eliminating the odor with a new fragrance. This can save you a severe Allergic reaction – and a strange sneeze splatter! Unless you cannot handle any artificial fragrance at all, your nose will thank you for the improved aroma.

4. Work in sections on your face. Once you decide to put the cream on your face, take it slow. Start with the eyebrow area. It is less sensitive than the upper lip area. If your brows are okay, then move on to your lip area or chin.

When Selecting the Best Skin Products for You Can Prevent Major Skin Care Disasters

When choosing the best skin care products, just reading reviews is not enough to make a good choice. Even though a product works wonderfully on someone you know, it may be a total disaster for you. There are three main factors that should play into every skin product selection that you make. Choosing the wrong product can put you at risk for a host of skin problems. Some may develop chronic adult Acne as a result of persistent use of the wrong products. Always pay close attention to your personal skin type and needs. This will help you choose the best skin products for you.

First you must figure out your skin type. Having oily skin you will need to get oil-free lotions and/or creams. Most cosmetics will contain some oils. Always read the ingredients carefully before buying. Adding oily products to oily skin can make you have major breakouts and an uneven complexion. If you have combination skin, then you will need to choose products for sensitive skin. If part your skin is oily and part is dry, then thats is combination skin. Generally your cheeks and brow will be dry and the areas around your nose and mouth are oily. You can either use two different products for these areas or purchase products specifically for sensitive skin. Either helps minimize breakouts and inflammation while accomplishing your beauty goals. If you have dry skin, then avoid drying extracts like peppermint. Conventional moisturizers with artificial colors or scents work best on dry skin. It is the most resistant in most cases to breakouts, but you do need to watch for scaling.

After you have determined your skin type, consider your age. Moisturizing and protection are all you need if you are in your twenties. This means you should use a good SPF moisturizer. Do not use aggressive anti-aging or wrinkle repair treatments. They will simply clog your pores and dry your skin. In your thirties you can move into anti-aging treatments if you wish, but still focus on prevention. In you forties at the earliest should you have to invest in serious wrinkle repair treatments. If you use age-inappropriate skin products, they may irritate your skin. You may create wrinkles where there shouldn’t be any. The best skin products for you will also match the condition of your skin. Age and type are important, but weathering must be factored in. For example, if you were a lifeguard in high school and got some serious sunburns, you may need to move into gentle sun repair products sooner than you would if you spent your entire life with a minimum of SPF 15 on your face. If you do not have any sun damage or weathering, then do not indulge in a product to repair it. This will just damage your skin.

Choosing the best skin products is a customized decision. Never be afraid to do something different than what the rest of “the pack” is doing. The best skin products for you are totally personal.
