I have IBS-C and have developed an internal hemorrhoid. What is my best treatment option?

I have constipation predominant IBS with occ. bouts of loose stools but mostly hard painful ones. Recently, the straining for the (lack) of bowel movement seems to have created an internal hemorrrhoid that pokes out during bowel movements and is causing a good deal of pressure and pain. I happen to be in an incredibly difficult time at work right now making taking off for a doctor’s appointment a last choice, although i could go to an urgent care after hours if i thought it would be best, and meant that I didn’t have to miss work tomorrow. What should I do? I’m on a very high fiber diet that includes both soluble and insoluble fiber and its done nothing, so please don’t start with the “more fiber” comments.

I have been there. When I am having loose stools its not a big deal, the only problem is knowing when one dares to go out. On the other hand constipation is hellish. It can be there and one feels desperate to “go”, the piles drop and there is no space left to even pass wind (I do hope that no one else is reading this).

I never dare take laxatives because this can lead to uncontrollable bowel movements, however large dozes of vitamin C do help. Start off with one gram and if this does not do the trick increase the doze. I have also found that “Milk Thistle” drops help. Of late I have also used a stool softener “Dulco Ease”. Then if all else fails try a DIY enema there is one called “Fleet” which I use when I am absolutely desperate. My doctor sugested this when I had a bowel impaction.

Anus problem?

Hi.
I’m male. I’ve got this thing near the entrance of my anus, but it’s NOT the hemorrhoids. I’ve had it for almost 3 years now. It never bothers me. It neither hurts nor bleeds regularly. Sometimes it releases very little amount of blood when gets a bit larger.
A doctor says an infection had gotten in there sometime and the only way of getting rid of it is operation.
Should I go for it? Or should I look for other cures like other than cutting my anus?

How to avoid Hemorrhoid operation? Pls help!?

Dear friends, I am getting scared when i surf net when i read about Hemorrhoids and piles because for the past 3 years (i know its too much of time) i am feeling a pulling pain in my anal after bowel movement which is rare and mostly during night between 3-5 am. For the past 3 years only once i saw blood with the stool. I am feeling shy to show to the doctor which i know is not wise (planning to meet doctor soon). Hey, to find out whether it’s a hemorrhoid or not I suggest taking a good look at the symptoms – I’ve briefly outlined 5 of the main ones for you below:.

1. The first hemorrhoid symptom is bright red blood in or on the stool, or blood on the toilet paper. If you notice streaks of blood in or on the stool or on the toilet paper during or after bowel movement then it’s fairly likely that you have hemorrhoids.

I think I have hemorrhoids. ?

So this is nasty but serious. I am about 15 and i noticed a purple/blue bump at the bottom of my *** **** after I finish ****ing. Hemmorhoids are simply aggravated veins around the anus. He is aggravating them when he pushes during defecation or thrusting during sex. He needs to try to keep the pressure around his anus to a mininum. Do NOT strain at all. He should get some hemorrhoid pads to wipe the area to make sure it is clean. Also, soaking a cotton ball in Witch Hazel and placing it directly on the anus for about 10 – 15 mins may help. Do it as often as necessary. If he is in a lot of pain, he definitely needs to see doctor – They can help reduce the inflammation or remove them altogether.
