Having hemorrhoids can be a very embarrassing and painful problem. Medicines, cremes, ointments or surgery can be painful, invasive and have side effects. How can you get rid of hemorrhoids without turning to medical solutions? In this article, we’ll explore a step by step method for getting rid of hemorrhoids right in your own home.

Cause of Hemorrhoids

Before we go into how to get rid of hemorrhoids, it’s important to realize what hemorrhoids are. Hemorrhoids are basically swollen veins inside the rectal tissue. Once the veins swell up, the surrounding tissues swell as well and become very susceptible to bleeding if a hard stool scrapes its surface. In other words, the two central ideas behind getting rid of hemorrhoids naturally involve softening the stool naturally and improving the blood circulation in the rectal area.

Exercise

Getting exercise is one of the key ways to get rid of hemorrhoids. Exercising improves your blood circulation throughout your entire body, including the rectum. You don’t need to start off strenuously if you haven’t been exercising. Start off slow and work your way up.

Drinking Water

Water intake is another key place to look for getting rid of hemorrhoids. Make sure you’re getting the recommended 8 cups of water a day. This will help you soften your stool as well as increase your circulation. Blood cells tend to clot together if you’re not getting enough water in your system, making blood circulation more difficult.

Getting Enough Whole Fibers

Fibers are an important part of a healthy diet. They help your digestion and help your stools soften as well. The best sources to get your fibers are from whole food sources. Some of these include oranges, broccoli, apples, eggplant, etc.

Get Rid of Hemorrhoids without Surgery or Medicine

You now know the basics of how to get rid of hemorrhoids. The most important thing is to start applying what you learn right away. Don’t wait, as hemorrhoids can be potentially dangerous to your health if untreated.

Hemroids..sorry graphic?

I’m 33 weeks along & I think I have a hemroid. I have a bubble at my anus….it doesn’t itch……but what else could it be? I know it’s pretty standard in pregnancy. Is there a way to get rid of it now? or does it go away on its own?

That sounds like one…congratulations!! They are one of the most annoying parts of pregnancy. You can apply Prep-H or use Tucks pads to get them to shrink or stop hurting. Tucks pads especially can be useful because hemorrhoids can make it a little harder to clean after a BM. Unfortunately as your pregnancy progresses they are more likely to get worse. When the baby drops it can put more pressure on those blood vessels, causing hemorrhoids to worsen or become more numerous. Labor especially can be hard on them. Women who never experienced hemorrhoids before will often develop them because of the extreme pressure of labor. However, once you deliver I have been told that they shrink and even dissapear. Here’s hoping anway.
