I have had hemorrhoids for about 3 years off and on. I have used over the counter meds. My doctor has perscribed supporsitories and onintment when the over the counter no longer worked. My doctor thinks surgery is not needed at this time. Besides fiber and water which I know are importatnt is there are there any natural meds or any other treatments worth trying that won’t be a waste of money. Doctors and sufferers of hemorrhoids please respond only. Thanks
Hey, I totally understand what you are going through. When I was pregnant I was beside my self with Hemorrhoids and the doctor said that it would go away after I had the baby, but, it never did. So after I kept going back to my Doctor and him saying the same thing I decided to get another opinion. Anyway I did and in fact I did have to get them surgically removed, ever since that I have never had a problem, so with that being said I think you should get a second opinion and get them removed.
Good luck

So they hurt. I need advice about what oils/lotions, etc to use. Are there any alternative medicine treatments for this? Name me everything I can do to treat this. And if I should go to the dr. to get it out, what is the best method? Banding it or injection?
Pesky little dickens, aren’t they? Here are my tried and true suggestions. First, try not to be constipated. Straining causes swelling. Second, do not sit on the damp, like the ground or cold concrete. Again, real irritating. Third, use sitz baths, or sit in warm Epsom salts water in the tub. Use medicated wipes, like Tucks, when you have a bowel movement, as toilet paper is too abrasive. Use over the counter medications like Preparation H or some other ointment. Use suppositories, they will provide longer lasting relief than topical cream. The doctor can prescribe a stronger suppository that will work faster, and will contain a numbing agent. Finally, your doctor will decide which is the better treatment for your presenting problem. Both treatments are effective. Good luck.

i have an external hemroid but it doesnt bother me, how do i get rid of it. Should i bring it to the attention of my ob.
Surgery is the only way to get rid of them. I don’t even really notice mine when not pregnant. takes a couple months after delivery for mine to get smaller or go back inside. Not really anything your Dr can do to help.
1.. regular bowel movements, and avoiding straining, stools pass easily and do not put pressure on
the blood vessels in the anal area.
2..Eating plenty of fibre-rich foods such as fruit, vegetables and wholegrain cereals drinking plenty of
fluids, especially water.
3.Symptoms are due to prolapse, thrombosis, and vascular bleeding; therefore, creams and salves have a small role in treating hemorrhoidal complaints. Suppositories, except for providing lubrication, have a small role in the treatment of hemorrhoidal symptoms.
Treatment choices for piles include :
1.. Rubber band ligation,
2.. infrared coagulation (photocoagulation),
3.. Cryosurgery

Piles are like varicose veins of your back passage.
They occur if the pressure inside the rectum gets too high-usually from constipation..They may stay inside, come down and go back or stay down all the time.
how old are you.?If you are over 25 i suggest that you see your doctor to check that’s what it is.
Initially I would try increasing the amount of fibre in your diet so that your motion is very soft so that you do not have to strain.
If that does not work see your doctor. This may work for the milder piles but not for those that stay out
