A person’s overall health can be greatly affected by the productivity of their colon. A great deal of the most common physical issues can be improved by using a colon cleanser on a monthly basis, many of which will be mentioned in this article.

A popular use for colon cleansing is to treat and prevent constipation. Constipation tends to make us feel very sluggish; the reason for this is because the colon saps our energy levels in an attempt to rid itself of excess fecal build-up. The routine use of good colon cleanser recipes is a good way to help your body with the fecal elimination process. Many of the best recipes contain lots of fiber, fruits and veggies, or flax seed.

In some cases, depending upon the amount of feces retained in the bowel, a person can retain several pounds in weight simply by being unable to expel the built-up feces. If you find that your energy levels just aren’t what they used to be and you can’t seem to lose those few stubborn pounds, you most likely could benefit from a colon cleanse.

Did you realize that even your skin’s health can be affected by the functionality of your colon? When your colon begins building up dangerous toxins, the rest of your body can become a “dumping ground” for such filth. Eventually these toxins reach the skin and can cause a number of skin problems.

A great benefit from colon cleansing is that it enables your colon to function in tip-top shape, which includes drawing the necessary vitamins and minerals from your food. When your colon becomes overburdened with excess feces, your body is unable to gather the necessary nutrients from your food.

While colon cleansing is proven to have positive health effects, colon cleanse products should not be used more than stated on the instructions. If you have colon health issues that you believe surpass the abilities of colon cleansing, please consult your doctor.

When you suffer from hemorrhoids there are basically two types of hemorrhoids: internal or external. Both can be uncomfortable but there are ways that you can fix the problem. There are also several degrees of hemorrhoids that will be explained in this article.

Internal hemorrhoids usually are not noticeable when they are small and when there is no pain. They may bleed and you will see this blood in several different ways. You will see it when you wipe yourself, there may be a little blood on the toilet seat or you might see some on the surface of your feces when you look into the toilet or in your underwear.

Because most people are told that if they find bleeding it is a reason to panic, most people will panic when they see this blood. However it often looks worse than it is. Sometimes they will also be prolapsed which means they might protrude out of the anus. This will usually mean that you will need someone to help you push them back in.

Types of Internal Hemorrhoids

Usually there are four ways that an internal hemorrhoid will present itself. Here are the most common ways:

First degree — This type of hemorrhoid will bulge into the anal canal when a person has a bowel movement. This often happens when they are straining to go.

Second degree — this one bulges out of the anus during a bowel movement then retract when it is finished.

Third degree — this type of internal hemorrhoid doesn’t retract on its own and will need a finger to push it back in.

Fourth degree — this is a protruding hemorrhoid that does not retract on its own and that you cannot replace into the anus. Sometimes these are very painful and a physician will have to perform surgery for relief.

External Hemorrhoids

External hemorrhoids come because of the veins that are centered around the anus. This is the type that is very itchy and can sometimes have a burning sensation. Some people also experience a cracking in them and bleeding. Again, you will see the bleeding on the toilet paper after your bowel movement, in your underwear or in the toilet.

How You Know if You have a Hemorrhoid

Although you probably won’t know whether you have a hemorrhoid in most cases there are a few symptoms. You will experience a burning or itchy feeling after a bowel movement even after you have wiped. You may also feel an aching in the anus after a particularly painful release of feces. You might feel a lump outside or inside the anus that is hard and fleshy or you may see the bright red blood that we have mentioned.

The best way to prevent types of hemorrhoids is to make sure that you drink plenty of water or other liquid to keep your body well hydrated and exercise. Add a healthy diet of vegetables and fruits to this and you will make sure you have softer bowel movements.

Hemorrhoids are normally uncomfortable and prolapsed hemorrhoids can be more uncomfortable because it is actually sticking outside the body, though it may not be as painful. It also can be embarrassing because you might need help to deal with it.

Most hemorrhoids are difficult to get to and treat because of their location in the anus. Usually it is most noticeable after a bowel movement and in some cases it will prolapse during the bowel movement than retract naturally afterward.

Sometimes the individual will need help to push it back into the anus if it doesn’t retract on its own. There are times when the prolapsed hemorrhoid stays inside the anus and becomes strangulated. In this case a doctor may have to help because it can be extremely painful.

There are several ways that a hemorrhoid can prolapse: It can stay outside the body and not retract. It can stay outside and retract after the bowel movement. It can also be one that is manually inserted or it can’t be replaced at all. These are the ways that most people will experience the hemorrhoid and each is a different degree of discomfort.

When you notice prolapsed hemorrhoids it will look like a bit of tissue that has fallen out of the anus and are a very soft tissue. There may be mucus around it as well. The most serious type is the strangulated or thromboses type because it is very painful and you cannot do anything other than go to a doctor for help.

Symptoms of Hemorrhoids

If you find yourself with itchiness after a bowel movement even after you have wiped the area or you are experiencing pain you probably have a hemorrhoid. Sometimes you will have moderate bleeding when you wipe or you may see blood in the feces or in the toilet.

Usually this is nothing to worry about unless it is very painful. Most doctors will treat the symptoms with a remedy like Preparation-H which is a special formula for treating hemorrhoids.

Treatment for Prolapsed Hemorrhoids

There are many types of treatment for hemorrhoids. For a prolapsed one it can be as simple as getting help to push the hemorrhoid back into the anus. A warm sitz bath can help sooth and start the healing process. This will also ease the swelling or pain that comes from the hemorrhoid. This is not a bath in a bath tub but one that you sit on your toilet. You can find out more about this type of bath on the Internet.

Some people have found that applying Vaseline is helpful while others use Preparation-H. Preparation-H is a treatment that is specifically designed to ease pain and itching while it reduces the size of the hemorrhoid.

Suppositories are also a good treatment if the anus isn’t too tender from the pain of the prolapsed hemorrhoid. Some people can clean the anus with specially prepared towelettes that work the same way as creams.

Hemorrhoids are something that most people get at least once in their life. Many people wonder if they have to be treated or whether hemorrhoids go away on their own. The answer is that it really depends on the hemorrhoid.

In most cases hemorrhoids go away on their own because they are a natural reaction that the body has to a hard bowel movement. This usually happens when you are constipated and strain to get your feces out. When you clear up the constipation your hemorrhoid problem may go away easily.

Statistics show that around 75% of the American population will have hemorrhoids in their life time. Constipation is the main culprit and sometimes it happens when there is not enough water in the body so it makes the feces harder to release.

Depending on the size and the cause of the hemorrhoid you may or may not have to treat it in some way. As an example, some small hemorrhoids disappear on their own when you change your diet or resolve the problem that created them. Others may be very painful and need the assistance of the doctor.

When you have prolapsed hemorrhoids and they are hanging outside the anus they may retract on their own and you may not have trouble with them later. However, if you want to be sure you will not have trouble them it is probably best to treat them.

If you choose to treat your hemorrhoids then you can use a product like Preparation H. It is an over the counter product and you can find it in an ointment that goes into the anus, a towelette or a suppository. It just depends on which method you prefer.

Some experts say that hemorrhoids never go away because once you get them they will come back at some time in your life. The most important thing is that you have relief from the symptoms if you get them at all.

Many doctors say that hemorrhoids are a natural thing for many people. For instance, pregnant women often get them. Older people sometimes get them because they are more sedentary than younger people. In some cases they do not have to be treated because they are a natural part of life.

The doctors will look at them and make a decision whether they need to be treated or not. This is confusing to some people but they aren’t treated because they are not always a problem for the individual. Only when they become uncomfortable or painful will they need treatment.

Many hemorrhoids go away and people have no other symptoms for the rest of their lives. This all depends on what the individual does to help themselves and to take care of their health.

The best way to stay away from hemorrhoids is to make sure you drink plenty of water and eat vegetables and fruits. These things will keep your body from becoming constipated and will generate softer stools. This way you will not be constipated. You can also add flaxseed oil to your body to help.
