As of late, I’ve had a number of people tell me about Burts Bees. This started occurring well over a year ago. Everyone wanted Burts Bees for Christmas. I did not know what the big deal was, so I bought everyone other types of natural cosmetics that I was more familiar with. After that I totally forgot about it.

However, I am now seeing Burts Bees in the news again. The product is being used to promote charitable work. Spas are having drawings where you could win services using this brand. Apparently, I have completely missed something. I decided it was time to catch up. I set out to learn all the “buzz” I could about Burts Bees products.

So I was really missing a lot of information. The manufacturers of Burts Bees products believe that your personal well being is directly affected by the products that you use each day. They design all of their products with this in mind.

This means that using your Burts Bees makeup can make you feel wonderful about:

• Natural products are good for your skin.
• Purchasing products that are safe for the environment
• Purchasing products from a company that works for “the Greater Good”

I have two more questions since I am still missing something:

1. How well does this product actually work?
2. What does “the Greater Good” mean?

The answer to question one:

This product works wonderfully. Any product made by Burts Bees will have positive results on your skin. Their anti-aging line is totally phenomenal. But to me it seems like they have their focus more on prevention than on the actual repairs. Burts Bees moisturizers work great, but if you have serious weathering you may want to shop elsewhere.

Answer to number 2:

In a nutshell, Burts Bees’ “Greater Good” the combination of practices that will help consumers, employees & the environment. The company focuses on environmental awareness and aid programs. It works to keep employees happy. Their main focus is keeping the consumer happy.

Now you can see why I’ve changed my mind about this product. Their anti-aging products are some of the best around and the lip balm makes my lips so soft. The “kits” are so much fun and can make very nice economical gifts that you know will be used. I have to say it: Burts Bees Greater Good is definitely good for me.

When you are thinking about Genetically Modified Organisms, also known as GMO, you may be wondering what the fuss is all about. The nuts and bolts of it all is that there still exists many unresloved issues relating to GMO foods that don’t. It is important to stand still for a moment and reflect upon the quality and the basic fundementals of the food that we are beginning to see more and more of. What kind of needs do you have when you are thinking about moving forward and getting your dietary needs taken care of, and how do GMO foods intersect with these needs? In actual fact, the more we contemplate the mechanics behind GMO foods, the better placed we will be when it comes time to comprehending what is best for yourself.

The first thing that you need to consider is the fact that GMO foods have an effect on the environment that is not entirely understood. People do not know how the foods that they are growing are going to effect the environment around them, and without adequate testing, we might be in for some real damage to the eco-system that is both difficult and expensive to fix. This is at the heart of many of the issues that people have with GMO food; the testing that is done on them, both for the environment and for the effects that they might have in general, are still not understood nearly as well as they should be.

Many still do not realize that as an aside from the virtues or dangers GMO fod may offer us, that the inevitability of it all is that we are decreasing the genetic pool , thus becoming less genetically diverse. The more diversity that is present in the food that we eat, the better, and without this diversity, there is a much greater risk of seeing huge swathes of produce wiped out if they are confronted with a microorganism that they cannot deal with. Similarly, there is also the fact that due to the lessened diversity of the produce that is grown, the people who grow them are going to be become more dependent on chemical and biotech agents to protect them. What this means later on down the line is a increased presence of pesticides our food.

There is a powerful anti fungal that has been making inroads into the food growing industry, and is called MMS, or Miracle Mineral Supplement. It is applied via a spray application, and allows less poisons to be used. The active compound is called chlorine dioxide.

Another concern that many doubters about GMO food is that it has the propensity to breed super weeds! As we all know, the only constant is change, and that the universe is governed by the laws of entropy. By cultivating resilient and tough crops will inevitably breed tougher weeds that are tougher. The issue is that what GMO foods will stay static, these weeds will continue to develop. Farmers and other food producers will start to use more intense herbicides to take care of these super weeds, and with that in mind, we will see a lot more herbicides in our food and even in our water supply!

It is always prudent to reflect momentarily about your options when thinking about the prospects of ingesting GMO foods. There are dangers that are often not discussed, no matter how prevalent or problematic they might be!
